Job summary
We are representing a growing construction/civil engineering contractor known for its performance in successfully delivering projects up to £10m across the UK. They have won multiple projects within the industrial, energy and education sector and they're now looking for a highly experienced CM to help bolster their operations team.As a Contracts Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the existing contracts team and playing a pivotal role in carrying forward their excellent reputation for delivery. This might suit you if you are used to working in a leaner, less structured business where the Contracts Manager will oversee the project in its entirety.
Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage the contracts team, ensuring successful project execution from inception to completion.
* Collaborate with senior management to identify and pursue strategic business opportunities, contributing to the company's growth.
* Cultivate strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and subcontractors to foster collaboration and ensure client satisfaction.
* Ensure compliance with contract specifications, quality standards, and health and safety regulations.
* Effectively manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to optimize project delivery and profitability.
* Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the contracts team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or in a similar senior role within the construction and/or civil engineering industry.
* Demonstrated success in delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
* Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
* Strong strategic thinking and analytical abilities.
* Ambitious and goal-oriented mindset, with a desire to advance into a director position.
