Job summary
Your new companyWorking for a large schools trust in Plymouth. This role is full time permanent and is all year round not just term time.
Salary starts at £25,878 with a pay award pending (so this will increase)
The role is based in Plympton with occasional opportunities for homeworking.
37 hours per week - Monday - Friday.
Your new role
Responsible for providing an HR administration and payroll service to the Core Services Team including the maintenance and management of records, acting with the HR Assistant as a central point of contact for contractual, payroll, pension and HR administrative practice queries from school administrators.
Provide first-line responses to routine HR queries via the telephone and email helpline in line with standard operating procedures and triage/escalate less routine or complex enquiries.
Liaising with the team recruitment and selection processes; developing job descriptions and suitable advertisements, designing and overseeing campaigns; engaging shortlisting and interview panels and providing a full administration service from the point of advert through to appointment and onboarding.
Responsible for recruitment and vetting checks.
Responsible for the administration of starter/leaver and contractual change processes, including letters of appointment, statements of particulars, induction and leaver surveys and contract change letters.
Responsible for the administration of absence, maternity, paternity, adoption, shared parental leave and parental leave processes and ensuring associated payroll processes/notifications are completed.
Work with the guidance and support of the HR Business Partners, HR Advisors and the HR Data and Payroll Manager to develop the administrative processes and support on the routine aspects of a broad range of employee relations matters including sickness absence, flexible working requests, conduct, performance, grievance, TUPE, pay and grading, redundancy and redeployment; helping to ensure timely progression of queries and cases in line with Trust policies, employment legislation and best practice guidance.
Participate in and/or assist with Trust-wide projects and policy work as appropriate.

What you'll need to succeed
Previous HR experience in an HR Admin or similar position
Previous experience of dealing with Payroll would be an advantage.
