We are currently recruiting for a Theatre Practitioner Orthopaedics to join the theatre team at a prestigious private hospital in the Reading area

The main duties of the Theatre Practitioner - Orthopaedics role include:
* Prepare the operating room for orthopaedic surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment, instruments, and materials are available and sterile.
* Assist the surgical team by scrubbing into surgeries, maintaining a sterile field, and passing instruments or other required items to surgeons during procedures.
* Provide immediate support and aid to surgeons during orthopaedic surgeries, anticipating their needs and ensuring a smooth flow of the operation.
* Monitor and manage the condition of patients during surgeries, ensuring their safety and well-being while assisting in any emergent situations.
* Collaborate closely with other members of the surgical team, including surgeons, nurses, and anesthetists, to maintain an efficient and effective operating environment.
* Follow strict protocols and best practices for infection control, maintaining a sterile environment throughout surgical procedures.
* Participate in post-operative procedures, such as transferring patients to recovery areas, ensuring accurate documentation, and contributing to patient care as they transition out of the operating room.
What we are looking for in a successful candidate:
* Registered Practitioner with NMC or HCPC registration
* Experience in a theatre setting is desirable
