Join a vibrant team dedicated to improving our quality and customer satisfaction within Product Engineering. You will become the centralised owner for all process, policies, procedures & delivery of implementing our running engineering changes in our vehicle plants.
This role will be to join our leadership team to further develop our quality improvement by transforming how we implement engineering change in our new digital era. You will also be a key decision maker in the Current Car Change Approval Board leading compliance to UNCE 156 Software Update and management System.
This role will involve managing & leading a team based centrally and, in our plants, so this role will involve some travel to Solihull, Halewood and Nitra.
This role will require a dynamic individual looking for a challenge, Our drive for simplification means over 50% of our engineering changes are implemented in the current car/running change space so this individual will need to consider launch as part of their role. This role will transform how we manage engineering change.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Transform our change implementation process to a digitally transparent process to improve key KPIs (Number of untimed changes, age of untimed changes)
Define and develop our sub processes into a digital processes (Line trail Process, Parts ordering, Pre production parts storage)
Define and develop our training for change implementation.
Work with our change management team for robust inputs into the Change implementation process
Work with our Manufacturing colleagues to give robust outputs of Change implementation team to manufacturing team
Be key decision maker for Change approval board for approval of software pack introduction into vehicle plants to ensure compliance to new UNCE 156 regulation.
Build and manage a network of trustworthy contacts and stakeholders in Product Engineering, Quality manufacturing and customer service
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential:
Ability to interface and communicate confidently at all levels
Strong project management skills
Ability to build and manage multiple internal and external relationships in complex stakeholder environments
Demonstrable business acumen
Well organised, methodical, exhaustive and structured
Naturally pays attention to detail
Excellent written & verbal communication skills providing the ability to represent the team at senior meetings
Extensive experience of using Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred experience in manufacturing environment.
