We are looking for a Data & Insights Manager to join our clients dynamic and successful marketing team and report directly to the Head of Marketing. In this role you will have responsibility for analysing and manipulating data as well as communicating insights across the business with a view to turning them into commercial opportunities.
Role & Responsibilities of the Data & Insights Manager:
* Utilise data management and technical analytical skills alongside business acumen to understand the business needs and objectives and incorporate them into analytical solutions that will help grow revenue through the resulting analysis and insight.
* Responsible for delivering a suite of analytical capabilities and tools, such as customer profiling, segmentation, cluster analysis, propensity/regression modelling.
* Manage data-driven projects and actionable insights across the business to lead transformation and identify growth opportunities, working with and providing data for all customer-facing channels from providing data & insight around key messaging to deliver to target customer segments to drive improved ROI, to providing call lists and leads for Outbound Sales teams
* Develop consistent analytical and reporting tools and collating performance metrics and overall ROI into a clear communication that takes data and turns it into insight and recommendations for future campaigns.
* Develop tools, process, policies and reporting for data governance and master data management, working with internal and external suppliers to drive and improve data cleanliness of existing data.
* Ensure an on-going supply of suspect and prospect data to drive key target sectors and customer profiles.
* Help the businesss strategic assessment and planning by combining the available database and customer information with a GIS tool to visualise the companys current presence and status quo in the marketplace, and help the company identify future acquisition opportunities and retention strategies with a geographic perspective.
* Identify, gather, organise, process, analyse and advise using publicly available datasets. Provide insight and prospect information to commercial colleagues to help with their business activities, enabling them to find the right customers efficiently and effectively.
About You as the Data & Insights Manager:
* Experienced data and analytics professional with a proven record in collecting, analysing, interpreting and presenting data, with at least 3 years experience in a similar role
* Proven background in being the lead in providing strategic insights and analytical techniques including segmentation, regression, logistic regression or predictive modelling
* Experience in analytical software and technical solutions such as SAS, SPSS, SQL
* Experience developing and delivering a process for the evaluations and assessment of customer behaviour & competitor analysis
* Strong interest in learning new database technologies and working with Big Data tools
* Strong data reporting, dashboarding and visualisation skills
* Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query as well as knowledge of BI and Reporting tools
* Strong understanding in data warehousing and data manipulation skills
* Exposure to a marketing environment, working with customer behavioural data is a distinct advantage and is preferred
* Ability to network and present to senior stakeholders and being comfortable with presenting insights to all levels using data to story-tell.
* Highly experienced in interpreting data from multiple sources.
* Have a strong ability to manage his or her own time effectively and be a self-starter
* Able to prioritise work effectively to meet different business requirements
* Work under tight deadlines with high attention to detail
* Works well in a team and provides support to others
