Hydraulic EngineerThe Company:
Carbon60 are currently looking for a Hydraulic Engineer for one of our global, industry leading clients who specialise in fluid engineering and chemical processing applications and are pioneers in Pumping Solutions, Rotating Equipment, Water/Wastewater/Dewatering Equipment.
As a company, they cover a comprehensive service on this equipment including: Installation, Maintenance, repair, servicing and revamping/modification. Our client has a wide scope, operating across various industries such as: Construction, Power Generation, Water/Wastewater, Oil & Gas, Food & Beverages and Transportation to name a few.
The Role:
This particular role is based at one of their service centres in York, which offers a wide range of general mechanical services. Offering a fast response across the repair and remanufacture of parts for Shipping, Power Generation, Mining, Quarrying, Water/Sewage and other manufacturing industries.
Our client is looking for an individual with experience working upon Hydraulics, to undertake planned/reactive maintenance, installation and repairs on an array of industrial and mobile hydraulic systems and help take this service centre to the next level.
Salary: £27,500 - £32,500 (Experience Dependant)
Working Hours: 37.5 hours a week. 7:30am - 5pm Mon-Fri (Flexibility within Reason and OT Available)
Responsibilities:
Role is split between field service-based working on customers site and operating on-call/reactive breakdown basis and working with the workshop as the need arises
Fault find on hydraulic equipment and repair as required
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and written/verbal instruction
Maintain communication with the customer to understand their requirements
Responsible for the final inspection to ensure all work meets the appropriate standards and quality control criteria as set out by the company
Required Qualifications/ Competencies/ Knowledge/ Behaviours:
A recognised apprenticeship or significant relevant experience. Previous experience of working on hydraulic equipment
Mechanical aptitude with the ability to use applicable hand tools (grinders etc)
A strong and dedicated approach to Health & Safety
Trained and experienced in working on hydraulic equipment and systems
Experience in working on customers sites such as Power Stations & Petrochemical
Flexibility and ability to adapt to change
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
