We are hiring for the position of Administrative Officer !Location: Southport
Salary: £ 12.84 per hour
Contract: Temporary, 6 months
Working Days: Full time, Monday to Friday, working one Saturday in six with a day off in the week
Hours: 37 hours per week, on a shift pattern starting anytime between 8am to 10pm and finishing between 4pm to 6pm and Saturday, 8:45 am to 5pm
Brook Street in partnership with the Home Office has a fantastic opportunity to join their Southport HMPO office as an Administrative Officer, providing outstanding customer service to all HMPO customers.
Key responsibilities:
Providing outstanding customer service in resolving all telephone and e-mail enquiries relating to Passport application and Certificate orders, within the established service timescales
Providing advice and guidance on a range of complex nationality, eligibility, and procedural enquiries to customers of HM Passport Office
Safeguarding the customer experience through the effective implementation of standards, policies and processes
Provide advice and guidance on enquiries relating to Civil Registration
Developing and maintaining knowledge of legislation, policy, procedure and security guidelines
Providing timely and excellent customer service, remaining authentic, compassionate and professional to ensure the best possible interaction with our customers
Investigating and following up queries using all information, systems or work tools available
Working effectively within a fast-paced, multi-tasking, team-based environment to achieve team goals and targets
Contributing to the development and improvement of team processes
Taking responsibility for one's own personal attendance, performance and development
Demonstrating and promoting HMPO Values in all areas of work
Adhering to and complying with HMPO policies and procedures
Working flexibly and providing support to other operational colleagues/areas as required
Resolving customer problems fairly and effectively seeking to improve the customer experience through continuous improvement

Experience in providing excellent customer service, with a focus on resolving queries first time through effective use of appropriate communication channels.
Gain a clear understanding of customer's needs and expectations by listening and asking questions to deliver a high-quality service.
Place the customer at the centre of operations and work to resolve customer queries at the first point of contact.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Confidently manage potentially difficult and challenging situations.
Flexible approach to work, and successfully perform a range of multi-skilled duties.Desirable Skills:
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office packagesTraining provided:
No holidays during the 4-week training period ** You will be required to undertake security clearance for these roles, and it is imperative that you hold a valid passport and be able to provide two proofs of current address and a proof of national insurance document. **
Start dates will be confirmed once we have had clearance back.
