Job summary
Estimator / Sales Construction MerchantThis is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a background in construction (or related field) to join a well-established and successful construction company to work as part of the commercial team initially on their steel sales counter. On offer is a good starting salary with ongoing career and earning potential, together with a friendly and supportive working environment.
The successful Estimator will work alongside the experienced Estimating team and enjoy on the job training where required. You will be providing advice and pricing for structural steel (simple beams as well as fabricated steel) to the local builder clients.
Estimator duties:
* Receiving and understanding enquiries from emails and customers coming to the shop.
* Reviewing construction/engineering drawings and carrying out material take offs.
* Assigning cost for required steel, delivery etc.
* Logging quotes on the system.
Estimator requirements:
* Have a genuine interest in construction/steelwork and be seeking a career in Estimating.
* Be reliable and have good attention to detail.
* Some prior experience, either by education or a previous job in the steelwork or construction sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
* Live in/within a commutable distance of Banbury.
