We are looking for a Permanent Quality Manager in the Portsmouth area!
Salary: £50,000 - £60,000
Employment Type: Permanent
Start Date: ASAP
The Project:
This client has a diverse portfolio of civil engineering schemes ranging from access road improvements, public realm works, highways schemes, water treatment works, marine works and specialist framework projects.
The specific projects that you would be working on initially would be water and marines. Therefore, experience in these areas would be advantageous.
The Role:
This is the perfect opportunity working with a well known civils contractor, who hold an excellent reputation Nationwide.
This role will be site based, with the occasional need to spend time in the Head Office.
You will be responsible for:
Ensuring Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) are producied accurately and in a timely manner
Reviewing ITPs
Managing materials testing for subcontractors
Producing all quality documents and issuing to the client
Managing all test results and ensuring all are issued to the client or relevant party
Developing quality forms and checklists
Ensuring works are approved in a timely manner, to ensure that the construction stages remain on programme
Liaising with project management and site team to improve the quality of work produced
Daily liaison with the client, designers and all relevant third parties
Developing and implementing quality control processes and procedures
Monitoring the project quality and performanceRequirements:
Ideally experience in civil engineering projects and specifically water projects
Excellent understanding of quality within the Design Process
Excellent with record keeping and data management
Good communicator
Experience working on a large scale, complex civil engineering project
An understanding of working closely alongside other contractors
Full driving license
CSCS Card
Degree or HNC in Construction Management, Engineering or a relatable industry
