One of the UKs leading elective healthcare providers is now seeking an acute healthcare professional (Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional) withexperience in implementing and monitoringIPC measures to join them on a part-time basis as an Infection Prevention and Control Lead.Rated fully Good by the CQC, their Surrey hospital offers interventions across a diverse range of specialties; with 3 theatres, dedicated oncology and ambulatory care units, and on-site investigative and physiotherapy services, the hospital provides premium medical, surgical and rehabilitative services for orthopaedics, cosmetics, cardiology, and more.
As Infection Prevention and Control Lead, you will be central to IPC efforts across the hospital for all activity related to healthcare provisions, including during site expansion and refurbishment. Your role will typically involve duties such as:
ensuring ongoing regulatory compliance across all areas; advising on risk and precautionary measures when it comes to clinical waste, equipment and hygiene; devising and circulating new IPC policies upon the assessment of previous outcomes and updated guidance on best practice.

This is a permanent, part-time position (22.5h per week); there may be some flexibility with working days and hours for the right candidate.
Person specification:
To succeed as an Infection Prevention and Control Lead, you must have:
Registration with the NMC (Registered Nurse, RN Adult) or the HCPC (AHPs).
Specialist knowledge and experience of hospital-applicable infection prevention and control programmes.
Confidence in drawing up reports on, presenting, and teaching IPC policies.
