MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* To follow all instructions of the Maintenance Team Leader.
* Maintain and service of plant and equipment throughout the UK Operations as per detail entered into the maintenance software
* Provide planned preventative maintenance as per established schedules.
* Prioritise and select job requests in a risk rating operational approach, thus ensuring that no personnel are put at risk from insufficiently maintained equipment.
* Advise the Maintenance Team Leader of any maintenance equipment, parts, spares and services that may need ordering, liaising with the Facilities Manager or Head of Operations - in their absence.
* Within reason, work overtime/weekend hours to accommodate the needs of the business, minimising breakdown times on plant & equipment.
* Adhere to the conditions within the Employee Handbook.
* Ensure all tasks carried out in your area of responsible are risk assessed, in accordance with the risk assessment procedure, with the findings communicated to the personnel who could be affected by the task.
* Ensure you understand risk assessments and other work instructions prior to completing tasks.
* Take responsibility for yourself and other maintenance personnel around you, to ensure that no personnel are put at risk from insufficiently maintained equipment.
* Check adequate controls are in place to prevent unwanted start-up of any equipment that is under maintenance.
* To record and maintain all records as instructed.
* Ensuring equipment is fully operational (including calibration and services) and only operate equipment that you are authorised and trained to use, reporting any issues/defects to the Maintenance Team Leader.
* Operate equipment in-line with manufacturers guidelines or established procedures.
* Ensure work areas are kept clean and tidy, assisting with general housekeeping in and around the Maintenance Shop.
* Adhere to the conditions within the Employee Handbook.
* Lead by example and demonstrate your commitment to the continual improvement of the QHSE Management System.
* Ensure you understand and apply the QHSE Policy.
* Only carry out tasks that you are competent to perform. If you are assigned a task that you are not competent to perform you must make the Maintenance Team Leader aware and not proceed.
* Report any Quality, Health & Safety or Environmental accidents/incidents to the Maintenance Team Leader or QHSE Manager
