About the Role: As a Subsidence Claims Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing a portfolio of subsidence claims. You should possess a deep understanding of the claims lifecycle and have significant experience in successfully managing claims and collaborating with colleagues at all levels. Acting as the primary point of contact for customers, your goal will be to deliver exceptional customer service and provide expert advice on subsidence and underground pipes claims.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide excellent customer service by responding to customer queries and subsidence claims calls.
Offer advice and guidance to policyholders on general insurance claims issues related to subsidence and underground pipes claims.
Negotiate claim settlements effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Actively seek opportunities to improve the delivery of customer service.
Display active listening skills and use questioning techniques to establish the validity of claims.
Develop rapport with customers and various departments within the company.
Prioritize tasks efficiently, ensuring important and urgent tasks are handled promptly while maintaining focus on the policyholder.
Maintain a proactive approach towards change and embrace constructive feedback.
Manage a portfolio of claims, from setup to settlement, while considering individual circumstances.
Set accurate expectations for policyholders regarding their claims journey.
Identify potential fraud triggers within claims.
Adhere to all relevant processes when setting up claims.
Acquire in-depth knowledge of policy wordings and products.
Contribute ideas to improve departmental performance and customer service.
Collaborate effectively with the team and undertake any assigned tasks.
Employ a methodical approach when handling each claim, working closely with policyholders throughout the process.
Request and collect necessary documents and information from customers, such as receipts, photographs, or accident reports, and properly store them in claim files.
Consistently meet and maintain SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).
Exemplify the company's values in all work practices.
Provide insights for the development of the business, including system, process, and supplier management.

Experience and Knowledge: Ideally, you will have:
A minimum of 2 years of experience in an insurance Subsidence Claims Handling role. OR
A minimum of 2 years of experience in another Technical Claims Handling role (Escape of Water experience is sufficient). OR
Experience as a Loss Adjuster with expertise in handling Subsidence claims, supported by your CV and references. OR
Qualifications as a Structural Engineer and demonstrable experience in the field.
Qualifications:
Secondary education with qualifications in Mathematics and English. Numeracy skills are a must.
