Job summary
Oldham RUFC are seeking a new Club Steward to manage and maintain the club bar, kitchen and function suite at Manor Park, their Byrth Road premises. This is a full time, permanent role which will require flexibility and willingness to go the extra mile on occasion.You will be tasked with managing and maintaining all areas of bar management (serving alcohol, staffing provision, cellar maintenance, etc.) kitchen management (small facility), stock and inventory oversight, maintenance of security and facilities, ensuring health & safety protocol is adhered to at all times, responsibility for events bookings and any special requests. Typically you will need to work a 6 day week to stay ahead on all tasks and provide proper coverage, and weekly hours can vary between 30 hours to 45 hours in season.

In order to be considered you will ideally have significant experience in a similar role, taking charge of a bar, leisure venue or sports club facility previously. You will be personable and customer service focused, with good public and employee management and interactive skills.
You will be trustworthy and discreet, a confident user of basic Microsoft Excel, and happy to handle cash and balance the till daily.
In return you will receive a salary of up to £24,000 p.a. dependent on experience. You will also receive a 3% contributory pension, 28 days holiday per year (including bank holidays) and a discretionary annual bonus based on club profit.
