Operations Director | £120k-£150k + Share Options + Benefits | Award Winning IoT | Fully RemoteMy client is a scaling, award-winning company pioneering IoT technology surrounding workplace safety. Their cutting-edge products provide a one-of-a-kind solution, catering to some of the biggest global names.
They are now seeking to appoint an Operations Director who has experience in people management and who has successfully taken a business through an exit.
Responsibilities:
Develop and drive the long-term strategic direction in partnership with the CEO & SLT.
Act as a trusted advisor for the CEO, safeguarding the business and ensuring that the CEO is informed and enabled to make accurate and data-informed decisions.
While preserving openness and alignment, update the executive team and other stakeholders on progress and significant developments.
Drive operational excellence.
Develop a senior leadership team that drives value through diverse capabilities and an environment of trust and collaboration.
Act as a talent multiplier, creating an environment that both attracts and develops great talent.
Ensure effective, timely and accurate reporting to CEO and Board
Commercial leadership
Be a respected ambassador, developing productive relationships within target industries.
Setting commercial performance targets, ensuring a culture of effective performance management within the team.
Develop and maintain short and long term revenue forecasts, reporting progress to the board.
Analyse and improve management across financial, hiring/retention, marketing/PR etc
Collaborate with the CEO on activities including strategic vision, budgets, fundraising, investor/customer pitching, and market analyses.
Hiring and retaining great people
Anticipating issues before they arise and appropriately implementing mitigation steps to reduce risk.
Required Experience:
A track record of successfully leading companies through the exit phase, with a demonstrated history of achieving exit goals and maximizing value for stakeholders.
Problem solver with experience in solving a broad range of problems across the business.
Demonstrable experience significantly growing teams and revenue.
Proficiency in managing and overseeing numerous groups and divisions
Experience in a technical program or similar project/program/product management - with excellent time management skills
Experience in creating processes, managing teams, and maintaining client and supplier relationships to ensure product/service delivery on time and to specification for paying customers.
Unafraid to take a hands-on, low-ego approach to responsibilities until people's growth, delegation, or task elimination takes place.
Organised, structured, accountable, and able to drive and manage the collective accountability of the wider team on behalf of the CEO and the business.
Inclusive and inspirational leader capable of setting a vision, bringing leaders with them, and growing and developing a talented team of executives.
Desirables:
Experience managing learning and development projects
Knowledge of supply chain management.
Management of Processes & Functions, eg. Lean, Six Sigma etc.
Technical Competence: Data Dashboards, Statistics for Senior Management Presentations
Experience in effective recruitment and selection at pace

Salary and Benefits:
Basic salary of between £120k - £150k.
