Job description

The company is a leading manufacturer in recovery vehicles and have an unequalled reputation for the quality of our products and services. We are in a period of growth and are looking for a Stores Manager to help drive the business forward.

Role Purpose

Someone who is confident in the sole responsibility for the management of stock control, including goods inwards. A person who will manage a small stores team to manage processes and implement new ideas. The Head of Stores will also be responsible for:

The responsibilities

Take overall responsibly for obsolete parts process and ensure business is left with minimum liability and minimal waste.

Ensure the daily operations of the stores are in line with the company processes and procedures, implement new ideas for better results.

Management of material between both sites including stock transfer and resource allocation

Responsible for Stock take and stock rotation, including allocation of stock to jobs.

Overseeing goods inwards

Overseeing the picking of kits to prepare for production.

Chase kit shortages with purchasing

Ensure good housekeeping.

The person

Experience in quality management

Experience in a manufacturing/engineering sector

Experience of SAGE200

Proven track record of warehouse management with a developed understanding of movement of materials.

Team player, who can drive a positive, energetic team.

Strong verbal and communication skills

Positive attitude to deliver excellent results.

Strong attention to detail, problem solving and organisational skills.

Confident in computer skills, including Microsoft office, excel, etc.

Demonstrate ambition and a drive to succeed in their career.

Capable of reading engineering drawings

(Hours of work and pay to be discussed/agreed at interview)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: From £30,000.00 per year
