Connect2Hampshire are currently recruiting for Childrens Home Support Worker to work in Children's residential homes across Hampshire.

At Connect2Hampshire, we work directly with Hampshire County Council, to fill all vacancies across the Council's residential homes.

Key requirements

- Minimum 2 years' experience in the Social Care sector

-Minimum 2 years' experience of working with Children and Young People

-NVQ Level 3 Children & Young People or Children & Young People's Workforce or equivalent

-Restraint trained or team teach

The role

You will be working in an environment with Children and Young people which may have complex needs, ensuring they feel safe at and secure in their environment at all times.

The ideal candidate will have some form of restrain training, have experience working with and supporting children and young people. You must be proactive, resilient, and trustworthy due to the nature of the service.

You must also be able to contribute to developing individual care plans and placements plans in conjunction with colleagues. Meeting children's basic needs in a way which demonstrates care for the child, acknowledges their individuality and enables them to learn how to meet their own needs.

You must be prepared to deal with any scenario which may occur on shift and be able to handle potential challenging behaviour and within a secure unit. If you are restraint trained we would love to hear from you!
