Balfour Beatty VINCI is proud to be designing and building a 90KM stretch of the West Midlands section of HS2. We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Site Engineer within the Delivery team.

This role will be based on site near Coleshill The Sublot is situated between Birmingham and Coventry covering a 6 KM stretch, running north from the River Blythe to Coleshill, crossing three major highways the A45, M42 and M6. Initial work includes the construction of a service road and improvements to the A45. This section will extend to the M42 twin boxes including the construction of three earthworks assets two embankments and one cutting. In addition, there will be the Hollywell Brook Underbridge and construction of the WP5 BIS Highways.

Role Description

As a Site Engineer you will undertake Site Engineering control and implementation of works on site, including monitoring and reporting of progress.

Experienced required

Experience working with Earthworks or Strucutres.

Capable of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes.

Holds a current driving license and CSCS Card.

Must be a good team player, with developed communication skills and able to work on own initiative and seek out opportunities in line with level of responsibility.

Setting out techniques ability to use level & EDM, plus GPS.

Overall, we will be building the following across all our sites:

42 viaducts totalling over 11km

66 overbridges

More than 35 cuttings reaching over 30km

56 culverts 66 embankments reaching over 33km

Building four motorway crossings requiring box structures

Six interfaces with the existing rail requiring both dive-under and overbridge structures
