An exciting opportunity is available for a HSE Lead to work for a company who deliver the highest quality products and services in the food/feed industry. With nearly 100 years of experience as specialists in their field it's a great time to join this progressive and growing company. Based in Derbyshire, the role of HSE Lead offers a fantastic salary of £55,000 - £60,000 per annum with company pension scheme, up to 9% bonus and health care.As the HSE Lead you will be a collaborative leader, develop policies, plans and standards, be involved in risk management inspections and audits as well as investigating incidents, and provide training and advice, along with the following responsibilities;
Responsibilities
Enforce the creation of safe behaviour culture
Align regional fire and explosion strategy with global strategies and support local management in developing roadmaps and objectives
Formulate year plans and annual objectives and goals for the region
Implement emergency and occupations risk inventory and evaluations for the region
Conduct inspections to manage HSE performance and conformance, as well as advising with other managers to ensure Health, Safety and Environmental risks are managed, and performance gaps are closed
Recommend corrective actions for improvement
Ensure all training programs, for Health, Safety and Environmental are in place and executed
Act as the lead investigator for all incidents
To be successful in the role of HSE Lead you will already be working in a similar role, with experience managing HSE across multiple sites along with the following requirements;
Requirements
Degree qualified in a related field
Experience in implementing ISO45001, ISO14001 and experience of auditing
Knowledge of UK and European legal requirements
Experienced in COMAH (Control of Major Accidents Hazzards)
Previous experience dealing with the following health, safety and environmental subjects; ATEX, pressure systems, fire and dust explosion, confined space entry, forklift, working at height, cranes and lifting and dangerous good and hazardous substances as well as emergency response and permit to work
