Job summary
The blend technician will be responsible for the timely production, testing and release of syrups to Manufacturing, which ultimately means our iconic drinks Lucozade and Ribena can hit the shelves. Delivery
The efficient manufacture, testing and release of syrups to packaging whilst ensuring GMP standards
Offloading, intake and storage of raw materials in the Blends facility
Handling of blackcurrant concentrate, sub-blend make up and transfer to the Blends main facility
Manufacture of stock solutions, raw materials requirements to maintain production
Monitoring the manufacturing plans, selecting recipe batch make up to produce syrup for production lines, including testing and release to manufacturing.
Automated and manual cleaning of the Blends equipment / facility and satellite manufacturing/ analytical areas eg Aruba, testing lab
Act upon batch make up issues, identify correction measures to be taken, make relevant additions, test and release to production lines
Undertake all sampling and analytical testing as required including Brix, acidity, sensory, colour, etc
Ensure area GMP / Hygiene / housekeeping is maintained
Maintain manufacturing records and batch traceability
Maintain records of batches Right First Time and delivery to Packaging to identify trends and act to continuously improve
Input into DeVis of recipes
Analytical testing outside of the Blends function when workload allows and under the direction of the Process Quality Manager
Accurate maintenance of record relating to materials, batch manufacture, issues analytical testing and batch release
Ensure that GMP standards are maintained throughout the Blends areas
Take immediate action and escalate findings which are a potential or imminent threat to Food Safety, GMP or Quality Standards
Safety
Driving the health and safety culture to create a healthy and risk free working environment.
Quality
Contributing to the achievement of World Class Manufacturing quality through quality system compliance and adherence.
Escalate any issues that might compromise Product Safety and Product Quality
Carry out on line quality spot checks to the required standards on finished products, components and syrups.
Operate to FSSC 22000 standards through procedural and documentation compliance.
Comply with Suntory Good Manufacturing Practise (GMP).
What you'll bring to the team...
* Ability to interpret production schedules and implement these into daily tasks to manufacture and release syrup to packaging
* Maintain right first time and delivery KPIs and right first-time attitude
* Ability to understand Coleford operational demands and interpret these into daily action plans / activities that need to be completed to allow Coleford to meet production demands
* Knowledge of root cause analysis techniques (5Ys and 4Ms)
* Strong awareness and commitment to customer service
