Are you a Maintenance Technician/Engineer looking to develop your career in engineering Would you be interested in the brewing industry? Perhaps you are nearing the end of your apprenticeship or maybe you gained your engineering experience and training in the armed forces/you are a military veteran and are looking for your next role in civilian life. Our client, a leading name in the beverages sector, is recruiting several Maintenance Technician/Engineers, as part of its site expansion, succession, and development plan, to join their team in Bedford.
As the Maintenance Technician/Engineer, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing breakdowns in production tools, lines, chains, storage areas, and handling equipment, among others.
You will also be responsible for maintaining and bringing facilities back into operation and monitoring breakdowns while analysing the causes of production chain failures.
Ideally, you should have experience in industrial environments, particularly maintenance, new construction/installations, and manufacturing/production, with a strong technical focus.
In addition, you will be responsible for performing basic maintenance tasks such as plumbing, office electricity, carpentry, equipment handling maintenance, etc. Therefore, we require an individual with at least 2-3 years' experience in mechanical, electrical, packaging, and automation or similar areas.
Also, you will be responsible for supervising and controlling production tools and machinery, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and fire protection facilities.
You will work closely with the other maintenance operators, advising and guiding them to ensure that electrical drawings and schematics are compliant after interventions have been performed.
As such, you will require an Electrical, Mechanical, or Maintenance Engineering degree. Vocational Training in Automation, Electrotechnics, Electromechanics, or technical high school with experience in Maintenance and Electromechanics will also be considered.
This is a shift-based role and you will have the opportunity to work in different department such as brewing, packaging and utilities.
