Job summary

We need an AWEsome Senior Efficiency Analyst to join our team at AWE.

Location: Hybrid and flexible working, with our offices based in Berkshire between Reading, Basingstoke and Newbury with onsite parking and public transport services.

Salary: Starting at £33,700 this is very much open to negotiation if you can bring the skills and experience you will need to succeed.

This is a new role for a Senior Efficiency Analyst to support the strategic programme which spans across the organisation and offers great visibility and insight into AWE at different levels.

A typical day for a Senior Efficiency Analyst could look like this:

Supporting the Efficiency Manager in shaping and delivering the corporate annual objectives.
Shaping the Efficiency process by defining, reviewing, and refreshing the process, operating model, and road map in conjunction with the Efficiency Manager and key stakeholders.
Supporting the business with commercial and financial decisions, discussions and meetings with project teams.
Support the provision of efficiency tracking, reporting and quality presentations to senior management.
Provide support to wider programmes to eliminate duplication and agree priorities.
Provide support to help develop and mature the efficiency pipeline.
Deputise as needed for the Efficiency Manager in meetings / discussions on Efficiency Program
Work with Efficiency Manager in the broader performance improvement strategy and aligning related initiatives across the organisation.
Support the admin and maintenance of the efficiency reporting and tracking tools and actively drive system improvements.
Training and regular comms through various channels including attending team meetings to raise awareness and engagement.
Develop, coach and mentor junior team members

Providing insight and reports and clear presentations to senior management
Developing mutually beneficial stakeholder relationships
Confident managing challenging conversations with senior stakeholders in the absence of the Efficiency Manager

You must be willing and able to obtain and maintain Security/ Developed Vetting Clearance (funded by the AWE) in order to start with us in this role. It can take several months for clearance to come through.

This job role is suitable for hybrid working, which is an informal, non-contractual and voluntary arrangement, blending a balance of attendance in the workplace (your permanent duty station) and working from home as a personal choice. If you are successful, any opportunities for hybrid working will be discussed with you prior to you taking up your post.

The successful candidate is required to carry out all their duties from a UK location and cannot do so from an overseas location at any time.

Important things you need to know:

Interviews will be scheduled during working hours
Interviews will be 75 minutes on TEAMS and will include a small exercise on Analysis and Presentation
