At Awel y Mor we support adults with complex needs associated with autism. We embrace sector-leading practice and blend education, care and therapeutic support to provide tailor-made placements for unique individuals.
Awel y Mor has the true feel of a family home, offering a balance of learning, leisure and life skills, and is a place that puts people at the centre of their own progression pathway and development. Awel Y Mor (3 bedroom residential home), is an established home to 2 people who have lived there since 2019, and we hope to welcome a 3rd person in the next few months.
This home is based in the beautiful, bustling, and popular village of Saundersfoot with the beach on its doorstep. Our residents are incredibly active and really do take full advantage of their location relishing an active outdoor lifestyle and no day is the same. They enjoy all types of activities from cycling, bowling, hiking and a good pub lunch meeting the locals and being a part of their local communities.
Each person living here has their own Individual Support Plan, providing you with all the knowledge and information you need to be able to support them effectively, in a way they have chosen to meet their own personal goals and outcomes.

A day in the life of a Senior Support Worker with Orbis Education and Care Involves:
Lead and supervise a team of dedicated support workers, fostering a positive and collaborative atmosphere.
Provide high-quality, person centred care to our residents with autism and other complex needs.
Assist in the creating and implementing of personalised care plans to meet individual needs and goals.
Encourage independence and life skills development in the residents.
Promote a safe and stimulating environment, ensuring the emotional and physical well-being of all of our residents.
Liaise with family, guardians and external professionals to ensure effective communication and continuity of care.
Support the management team in administrative tasks and staff training.

A can-do attitude and resilient nature.
QCF L3 qualified
Experience in a support environment
Compassion and empathy.
Good communication skills.
The ability to work flexibly and reliably as part of a team.
