Job summary
Elevation Accountancy and Finance are excited to be working with a fantastic business in the York area as they look to recruit a Finance Business Partner into their team in York on a full time permanent basis.Reporting into the Finance Director you will be a vital part of the finance function.
Key Responsibilities:
Create accurate and comprehensive revenue and cost profiles for contracts.
Analyse contracts to identify key financial elements, including revenue recognition, costs, and other financial impacts.
Evaluate and interpret contract terms to determine appropriate revenue recognition methods and timing.
Develop and maintain financial models to support contract revenue and cost forecasting and analysis.
Monitor and track contract performance, identifying any deviations from expected financial outcomes.
Support the FD with monthly commentary including variances from forecast.
Working with stakeholders to provide timely financial analysis, monthly internal management information and KPI dashboards.
Lead the ITO annual budget and forecasting process.
Assist in the preparation of month end financial statements, in an accurate and timely manner, including P&L, Balance Sheets and Cashflow statements. Support the reconciliation of accounts, intercompany transactions and preparation and posting of journal entries.
Monitoring and management of accruals and prepayments. Ensuring accuracy for month end reporting. Working closely with the finance manager and other departments to validate accruals, revenue recognition and any other financial transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
Good people skills, capable of building excellent working relationships with vendors and across the business.
Experience of monthly management accounts working with tight deadlines.
Problem solving skills, the ability to identify and resolve issues or discrepancies in financial records and statements.
Ownership and responsibility, taking ownership of the numbers.
Good with Excel and Finance systems.
