Job summary
CRS are currently sourcing a full time Workshop Team Lead for our Equipment rental client based in the Bridge of Don.This is an excellent opportunity to join a front leading professional hire company who service clients in the Energy, Infrastructure and Utilities industries.
Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role, assisting with the coordination and planning of production activities. Extensive knowledge and understanding of Mechanical/Electrical engineering and technical understanding of specified workshop discipline is required. Knowledge of Health & Safety relevant to workshop practice.
Preferred Workshop Team Lead experience:
* Recognised trade apprenticeship
* HNC/HND Mechanical / Electrical Engineering
* A full UK driving license.
* Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Office Packages such as Outlook, Excel, Word.
* Experience using SharePoint systems.
Workshop Team Lead Duties:
* Provide guidance and supervision to designated team and assigning their tasks.
* Provide adequate training, information, instruction, and supervision.
* Liaise with Rentals Supervisor regarding any issues with meeting customer needs and delivery schedules along with ensuring department is active in being efficient including resource management.
* Assist with training and development.
* Assist the Rentals Supervisor with all aspects of the recruitment.
* Carry out toolbox talks as requested.
* Providing weekly overtime reports to the Rentals Supervisor, ensuring adequate cover is provided.
* Monitor employee performance and capabilities.
* Assist with the service & repair of plant, various equipment, and tooling within the parameters of the applicable specification and procedures as necessary evaluating results of fault-finding, ensuring components are replaced/ installed in accordance with applicable specification and procedure, producing reports as required.
* Provide technical support to Internal Sales / Business Development as required.
* Assist to populate certificates with equipment details and check information is correct and signed off.
* Responsible for ensuring housekeeping is maintained in the workshop and ensuring all work areas are safe to carry out activities.
* Assist to provide cover for the QC Inspector as necessary.
Hours:
Monday to Friday - overtime at higher rate available.
8.00am - 4.30pm
£14.00 - £17.66 per hour dependent on experience.
(£29,120.00 - £36,732,80 Basic)
