Job Overview: Working alongside our client, an established plastic injection moulding manufacturer, we are looking for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team.

Remit:

* An excellent opportunity offering job security and satisfaction for the successful applicant within a well established and leading injection moulding manufacturer

* As a Maintenance Engineer, you will perform day to day electrical and mechanical maintenance of plant equipment including Injection Moulding, CNC Milling and Engineered Structural Foam machinery as well as various types of robotics whilst ensuring the continuity of production, consistent with the companys goals and needs.

* You will have strong electrical and mechanical applications with proven experience of working within a manufacturing environment whilst dealing with day-to-day breakdowns, faults and repairs.

Role:

* Reporting to the Engineering Supervisor you will maintain electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on all plant equipment including injection moulding machinery, robotics, lasers, and material handling equipment

* Adhere to company HSE policies and LOTO procedures

* To undertake planned maintenance on designated equipment to maintain and improve production efficiency

* Identify the root cause of breakdowns and faults on machinery

* Perform safety checks and routine maintenance

* Repair and replace defective parts as required

* Implement continuous improvement activities

* Strive to improve the efficiency and safety of plant and equipment

* Maintain a high standard of record keeping for all repairs and servicing of plant and/or equipment as required for audit, traceability and warranty purposes, in accordance with the Quality Management System

Experience Requirements:

* Experience in Injection Moulding manufacturing is beneficial

* Previous experience in mechanical and electrical engineering

* A good working knowledge of PLCs, robotics, hydraulics, pneumatics and electronic/electrical automation controls.

* Apprenticeship trained or educated to an NVQ level 3 qualification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

* IEE 17th or 18th Edition desired

* Experience of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM)

* Experience of reactive maintenance

* Troubleshooting problems on various types of equipment

* Be highly self-motivated, demonstrate passion, and be a team player with a flexible and can-do attitude and the ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines.
