Job summary
NXTGEN are supporting a global technology manufacturer in their search for a Systems Accountant to join them on an initial 12 month fixed term contract. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to the implementation of a new ERP system, bringing a better quality of data to the wider finance community. This Systems Accountant role will play a key role in the migration and review of data processes, ensuring that the functionality of the system is fit for purpose and delivers the required information to make better business decisions. As Systems Accountant, you can also expect to be involved with the design and testing of new processes, business partnering with local finance teams with both support and training post the go live date. This is a highly visible role which will require the successful candidate to deliver excellent internal customer service to a range of stakeholders.Key responsibilities of the role will include:
Review reporting requirements of the finance community, identifying process improvement opportunities within the system
Support project and finance leaders with the review of data, cleansing aged information before migrating data from legacy to new systems
Test new ERP system processes, identifying any issues before recommending changes to project leaders
Support with ongoing training, pre and post go live dates, dealing with ongoing queries as the project develops
Support with the delivery of month end reports as required by the wider finance team
Ad hoc project supportThe successful candidate will ideally be a qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) although excellent ERP and systems experience is more important. Experience using any Oracle or Oracle Fusion package would be significantly advantageous but wider ERP experience will also be considered. You will be strong reviewing and analysing data within Excel and will be an advanced Excel user. Candidates will demonstrate a passion for systems and previous project or implementation experience, ideally within the manufacturing sector although this isn't essential. You will be comfortable travelling to Europe on an ad hoc basis to support with wider go live dates. This role is available for an immediate start and interview with possibilities for extension as the project progresses
