Theyre currently recruiting a NDT Engineer in the Port Talbot area
To be considered for this role you will live within a 40 minute drive to Port Talbot this helps the Award Winning planning team, do what they do best.
The role?
As an NDT Engineer, you will be helping to make industry a safer place. in this role you will carry out a range of NDT inspections to ensure compliance with statutory and/or legislative requirements, making sure you follow all relevant procedures.
Some of your responsibilities will include:

To carry out inspections in accordance with relevant procedures and to the required standard.

To interpret and evaluate test results in accordance with applicable standards, codes or specifications.

To carry out all relevant equipment checks and calibrations as required by the standard or test procedures..
*
Working to international standards ensuring requirements within them are met.
*
To collect, collate and report with sketches, where applicable, the result of the NDT examination. To present reports containing all relevant information in a factual, comprehensive and unambiguous manner
*
Support the team with process improvement.
*
To maintain all records, standards, procedures, notes and log books in an orderly, efficient manner and have them for audit.

You will need:
*
Minimum NDT qualification must include PCN Level 2 in UT, MPI ad DPI. Ideally candidates will also have PCN Level2 in Eddy Current and PAUT.
*
Candidates must have extensive experience of testing various weld geometries across a wide range of equipment and industries.
*
Candidates must also have the ability to use their initiative whilst working on site and maintain the highest level of H&S awareness
*
Flexibility to work both on client sites (UK and abroad) and in the laboratory. You will need experience managing your own workload, and be happy working in an environment with changing priorities
*
The ability to communicate technical problems with ease
*
A good level of IT and literacy skills in order to complete detailed customer reports.
