Job summary
A Regional Business Manager / Operations Director is required for a new leadership role within the Southern Counties. This is a field-based role, focused on service delivery, organic growth and the project management of acquisitions. We are keen to talk to candidates from the transport, passenger transport, taxi or courier industry.This critical role of Regional Business Manager will oversee the service delivery and growth, focused on communication with both the driving teams and the customers that are both corporate and residential.
This is a full-time role that will require travel and time on the road. It is essential that you have a UK driving licence and your own vehicle. You will have the autonomy to manage your location base and travel across the 7 Southern Counties.
Responsibilities will include:
* Delivery of high standards of customer service in line with compliance and industry legislation.
* Development and growth of both driver numbers and of increased customer bookings.
* Project coordination of acquisitions including the integration of process, support and compliance.
* Regional management of fleet utilisation to drive efficiency and delivery.
* Regional responsibility for facility standards and safety awareness.
* Working with the marketing teams to increase usage from current and new customers.
* Building strong relationships with regulators of industry with daily communications on compliance.
* Researching competitors to consider retention of drivers and customers, along with possible acquisition interests.
* Working with managers and trainers to ensure continual people development and compliance.
* Overseeing complaints and retention process and outcomes.
* Upsell and awareness of cross sell industry products.
We are looking for:
* Experience in business growth and service delivery within the transport, passenger transport, taxi or courier industry.
* Senior management experience with the ability to oversee a regional purpose and delivery.
* Compliance and regulation awareness and experience for self employed drivers.
* Outstanding relationship and communication skills to manage a wide range of customers and drivers and providers.
* Experience in delivering P & L management across a region or multi hubs.
* People management skills and the passion to nurture and develop careers of colleagues.
