Building Surveyor Job in Sevenoaks, KentBuilding Surveyor job required for a growing multidisciplinary consultancy based in Sevenoaks, working on a mix of new build, remedial and refurbishment projects for Local Authority, Housing Association and Property Management clients in London and the Southeast. Offering a salary of up to £50k + Bonus + Travel + Excellent progression opportunities and support with RICS APC. You will be joining a rapidly growing consultancy with a strong pipeline of projects.
The consultancy offers a multitude of services to include project management, surveying, cost consultancy, and design management, and specialise in residential and affordable housing projects for developers, Housing Associations and Local Authorities. Made up of around 100 employees and 4 offices, they are continuing to grow with a strong pipeline of work across London and the Southeast.
Role & Responsibilities
- Working with mainly Local Authority, Housing Associations, and Property Management clients
- Liaise closely with Clients, residents, Design Teams, Contractors, Clerk of Works and other key stakeholders
- Assist and prepare designs where applicable
- Coordinate all pre-contract investigations, surveys and other due diligence issues
- Production of the Project Execution Plan
- Minute pre-contract meetings
- Project manage where applicable other consultants on behalf of client
- Undertake all client funding and development control requirements
- Prepare detailed specification of works, Performance Specifications and where applicable, Building Regulations and contract drawings
- Prepare JCT Contracts
- Tendering and analysis
- Prepare and issue Contract Documents
- Ensure the appropriate stage invoices are issued
- Use of NBS specification writing
- Regular site inspections and production of reports
- Issue relevant instructions, Notices and Payment Certificates
- Assess contractor payment applications & advise client on cashflow forecast
- Co-ordinate management of projects as a whole ensuring timely and satisfactory delivery to clients
- Prepare Final Accounts & issue Final Statements.
Required Skills & Experience
- 1+ years' experience as a Building Surveyor
- Contract Administration experience (ideally both refurb and new build)
- Building pathology experience
- Experienced in working for a consultancy
- Experienced in cladding / façade projects is preferred but not essential
- RICS Accredited Degree
- MRICS or working towards
- UK Driving Licence and own car.
