Job Purpose
* Responsible for creating accurate and detailed client approval and fabrication drawings and models for our structural steelwork projects.
* Collaborate closely with the design, engineering, and production teams to ensure timely delivery and high quality of steelwork components.
Key Responsibilities
* Interpret and analyse design drawings, specifications, and engineer's instructions to produce accurate and detailed approval drawings, site drawings and fabrication drawings and 3D models for structural steel components.
* Ensure all drawings and models are compliant with relevant design codes, standards, and project specifications, such as Eurocodes and British Standards.
* Coordinate with design managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to resolve any design or detailing issues and to ensure accurate and efficient translation of design intent into fabrication drawings.
* Create and maintain bills of materials, cutting lists, and other documentation required for the fabrication and erection of steel structures.
* Communicate with the fabrication and erection teams to address any queries or issues arising during the production and installation of steel components.
* Continuously improve your knowledge of industry best practices, software, and technology advancements to enhance the efficiency and quality of your work..
Who are we looking for?
* Candidates that have a diploma or a degree in an Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
* Proficient in industry-standard CAD software, such as Tekla Structures, AutoCAD, or Advance Steel.
* Individuals that possess an excellent attention to detail and the ability to solve problems and have the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong knowledge of structural steel detailing and fabrication processes and a familiarity with relevant design codes, standards, and regulations, such as Eurocodes and British Standards.
* Proven experience as a Steelwork Detailer, specifically within the steelwork fabrication industry.
