Are you a talented and driven Commercial Accountant looking for an exciting opportunity in a progressive and growing business? Elevation Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnered with an innovative construction business seeking a highly motivated Management Accountant to join a small, dedicated team based in Leeds. Whether you are a part-qualified or fully qualified Accountant, we would love to speak with you!Responsibilities:
Preparation of detailed monthly overhead analysis
Work closely with departments such as marketing and operations to prepare meaningful variance to budget analysis
Line management of Purchase Ledger Controller and oversight of purchase ledger
Be responsible for the calculation of accruals and prepayments, supporting more junior team members with their involvement on these
Preparation of balance sheet reconciliations and reviewing reconciliations prepared by more junior team members
Prepare information for inclusion in the Management Accounts
Prepare VAT Returns
Requirements:
Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent)
Previous experience in management accounting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
A proactive and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
