Job summary
A leading British manufacturer supplying its products to the logistics industry, both internationally and within the UK, are looking for a Planning Manager to manage a Production Planning Department. The company has recently undertaken new management, and this person will be a key component in fulfilling their aspirations of increasing revenue by 10 million and growing the business further.The business is paying circa £45k plus benefits including career development and training, pension scheme, 35 days holiday (including bank holidays), early Friday finish.
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, your role will be responsible for Production Planning and Scheduling, ensuring that your department supports production to ensure that all customer orders are completed OTIF.
Planning Manager Responsibilities
Work with the commercial teams to understand customer requirements to ensure a robust production plan is in place.
Managing a planning team, training, mentoring, and developing your team to perform at their best.
The continues monitoring of production at all stages and troubleshooting any issues that may affect the OTIF delivery to customers.
Become a super user of the businesses MRP system, ensuring it is fit for purpose and all aligned date is populated for analysis in relation to production planning.To be successful in this Planning Manager position you will have:
Experience as a manager within a Material/Production/Supply Chain Planning function
Worked within a production and manufacturing facility undergoing change and growth.
Used a variety of MRP systems, having the ability to pick up new systems quickly.
