Are you passionate about ensuring the highest standards of quality from concept to completion? MDE are recruiting for an NPI Quality Engineer and be a key player in delivering best-in-class Quality support throughout the product development lifecycle.
Role Overview:
Comprehensive RFQ Support: Review customer RFQ packs, specifications, and requirements. Ensure accurate costings in terms of DV, PV, and in-process testing.
Process Optimization: Drive upfront quality processes in compliance with IATF16949/ISO9001. Develop and maintain PFMEA's, coordinate multi-disciplinary teams, and create/update Process Flow documentation and Control Plans.
Standards Compliance: Lead adherence to the Quality Management System. Develop Cosmetic Quality Standards Manuals and gain deviation approvals.
Gauge Specification: Specify, validate, and sign off inspection gauges and related checking media. Promote customer-preferred techniques like Poka-Yoke and Measurement System Analysis.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Participate in cross-functional teams during new product development or engineering changes.
Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect, analyze, and report measurement/attribute data. Present findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.
Training and Guidance: Provide guidance on Quality best practices. Train team members and ensure a culture of continuous improvement.
Communication: Liaise with different departments, customers, suppliers, and service providers to complete the NPI Process task list.
Statistical Analysis: Generate and interpret statistical analyses and capability studies to identify and resolve product quality issues.
Skills/Knowledge Required:
Demonstrated knowledge of quality systems, measurement methods, and statistical analysis tools.
Strong understanding of APQP, PPAP, and FMEA.
Experience in interpreting engineering standards and test techniques.
Knowledge of TS16949 and ISO9001.
Previous experience in high-volume manufacturing, especially in plastic injection molding, painting, and assembly processes.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Effective data presentation skills for informed decision-making.
Proficient in structured problem-solving tools.
Experience with NPI projects for major OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers.
