Job summary
I am currently supporting a Chichester based organisation in the recruitment of a Management Accountant. You will report to and work with the Finance Manager but will also posses the experience and confidence to work unsupported when needed. Please note that this is an office-based position, they do not offer a hybrid option.Responsibilities;
Support the monthly financial reporting to Group using the corporate reporting system (currently IBM Cognos) and the completion of all analysis compared to a given set of data.
Support the completion of reforecasting cycles as well as yearly Plan including submission of data, analysis and presentation.
In charge of cost analysis to support efficient management by the local Senior Leadership team, i.e. costs centre analysis vs. Budget or Forecast
Support invoice validation
Identify areas for improvement in inventory management, including preventing stockouts and preventing overstocks.
In charge of stock reconciliation subledger to nominal ledger
In charge of obsolete stock calculation and communication to the wider management targeting optimisation
Liaise with key inventory stakeholders on site to provide support and guidance to their queries and to drive working capital improvements.
Fixed Asset register maintenance
Ensure compliance with the Essentra accounting policies and procedures manual in all areas concerning standard costs, inventory and Fixed Assets
Generate daily and weekly KPIs for production and Backoffice, supporting line managers to understand drivers of performance and variance to standards.
Commercial support with growth opportunities, providing challenge and analysis.
Participate to the preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Prepare monthly control file post-reporting.
Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams when needed.
Create ad hoc reports in PowereBi / Alteryx
Prepare Financial models with stakeholders for new Capex request and ensure completion of information prior to capex request submission.
Participate to ad hoc studies and analysis.
Experience needed;
You will be an experienced accountant who can demonstrate circa 5 years within finance and 2 years as a Management Accountant.
You will be able to demonstrate the skills and experience to work unsupported when needed.
You will support and advise the Purchase and Sales ledger team.
Knowledge of a manufacturing / engineering / stock environment would be advantageous but not essential.
Solid knowledge and experience of dealing with budgets, forecasting and cashflow is essential.
Experienced at reporting and working with and supporting non-finance colleagues.
