Job Description:
We are recruiting on behalf of a Tameside Primary Academy that is seeking an enthusiastic and caring Nursery Teaching Assistant to join there dedicated early years team. As a Teaching Assistant in the nursery, you will play a key role in providing support to the teacher, fostering a positive learning environment, and ensuring the well-being of the youngest learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the nursery teacher in planning and delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate activities.
Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning.
Create a nurturing and inclusive environment that promotes a love for learning.
Provide individualised support for children with varying abilities and needs.
Assist with the organisation and maintenance of learning materials and resources.
Collaborate with the nursery team to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment.
Monitor and record children's progress, reporting observations to the teacher.
Establish positive relationships with parents and communicate regularly about children's development.
Qualifications:
Minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting is preferred.
Understanding of early childhood development principles and best practices.
Patience, empathy, and a passion for working with young children.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of nursery curriculum and teaching practices.
Willingness to undergo background checks and clearances as required by the school.
A daily pay rate from £76-£85 per day depending on your experience
