Job summary
GPS have a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic, results driven Service Sales professional to join the aftersales team for a progressive company in Deeside. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving growth of our service offerings. As a Service Sales Specialist you will be responsible for driving sales across the service product portfolio, implementing the service sales strategy by proactively promoting and managing service agreements, upgrade and retrofit solutions.Responsibilities
* Utilise the install base database to establish target customers and proactively generate leads and opportunities for service products.
* Promote our service agreement contracts and Preventative Maintenance Health Checks in line with vessels 5 year drydock cycles.
* Negotiate contracts, pricing, terms and conditions to secure new service agreements
* Perform administration of existing agreements and collaborate with the service team to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
* Assist existing customers to help them manage obsolescence of their systems with upgrades and spare parts. Understand customer needs and develop tailored upgrade proposals that align with their requirements.
* Work with the design and project teams to produce technical proposals for the replacement of older obsolete systems.
* Work across different business streams, cultures and countries. Your success will depend heavily on your ability to network and build relationships with people from all parts of the organisation, UK and overseas.
Requirements
* Qualifications in electrical/electronic engineering
* Proven track record in B2B sales, with a focus on service based solutions
* Ideal candidate will have experience of working in the marine, oil and gas, safety or telecommunication related industries
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
* Strong negotiation and presentation abilities
* A flexible and adaptable thinker who can manage multiple tasks
* An organised person with strong record keeping abilities
