Our client is a well-established, household name in their field who is looking for an Operations Manager to assist the Managing Director in the day to day running of the UK arm of the business. They have a real family feel in the Godalming office where everyone is hands on, with a "can do" attitude. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to move to senior level of a business where you are very visible and can make a real impact.
Tasks
Daily
* Manage sales order processing
* Upon notification of goods received at GSS or BBS Update company with goods received
* Update Goods received spreadsheet and check standard costs
* Post supplier invoice using the HMRC exch rate for € invoices
* Raise ELTI invoice
* Regular meetings / contact with warehouse (Quarterly visits)
Weekly
* Weekly Sales Reports
* Update prices (on Axis) for increases or promotions
* Update eshop stock to ensure miniumum stock levels are maintained. Allocate stock to e-commerce location
* Review factory planning and amend expected receipt dates if necessary / follow up any outstanding orders
* Post VAT invoice or VAT adj as appropriate. Post duty costs
* Pay VAT invoice for Chinese imports on reciept to ensure stock will clear through customs
* Make payments to CDS account to make sure sufficient funds for deferred duty charges for European imports. Reconcile deferred duty account
* Pay ELTI supplier accounts
* System improvements / trade portal
Monthly
* Set up stock items and kits
* Update master price (on network) for customer invoice pricing.
* Prepare forecast sheets for sales team
* Prepare stock order forecast, SVS, and review with MD.
* Check factory pricing and update costs on system, purchase orders when appropriate. Advise MD of any significant price changes
* Order Parts and Accessories for BBS and e-shop
* Review stock reconciliations - 3 warehouses and complete stock checks at least 1 per year
* Returned and damaged stock - agree scrap and stock provision
* Approve GSS purchase of packaging for D2C despatch
* New Line form master sheet maintenance
* WEEE - quarterly submission
* Plastic Tax and any other HMRC requirements
* Discount codes
Annual
* Waste and packaging data -annual submission
