A fantastic opportunity has arisen for Fleet Advisor to join a successful business-to-business asset hire and funding group of companies. Their service solutions are represented across the group businesses with different specialisms including Truck and Trailer, Bus and Coach, Material Handling, Municipal Vehicles and the global supply of Modular Temperature Control Solutions.
The Fleet Services Advisor will be responsible for providing a high level of customer service is achieved regarding vehicle maintenance provision and recharge recovery of both in life and end of life damage. The job holder will be responsible for supporting the branch to achieve their targets.
Roles and Responsibilities
The Fleet Services Advisor is responsible for ensuring that the condition of the hire fleet is maintained to required quality standards
Assisting with regularly reviewing the physical appearance of the hire fleet and identifying cleaning, repair and maintenance requirements to ensure that the fleet always remains fit for hire and in all respects i.e., roadworthy, taxed and tested, compliant with all applicable legislation, clean and damage free
Assisting the Operations Maintenance & Damage Controller to ensure that accurate and detailed "check out" and "check in" inspections are conducted on all vehicles leaving for, or returning from, hire or another branch to ensure that responsibility for damage can be finitely determined
Notifying customers immediately once damage has been identified and obtaining re-charge authorisation from the customer in the form of a customer purchase order or other appropriate written authority and control of repair agents via Agents
Ensuring that a timely response is given to customer and internal queries and effectively communicating customer correspondence and queries to other departments as appropriate
Providing holiday and sickness cover for the Operations Maintenance & Damage Controller, supervising and scheduling all work for the locations Mobile Mechanic as well as organising and controlling onsite maintenance stock
When instructed, ensuring that rental agreements are completed correctly and assist with invoicing customers for all vehicles on hire
Providing cover for other branch staff when they are absent or engaged on other branch duties
Assisting with the vehicle sales procedures, identifying and organising the timely provision of sales vehicles for disposal, including the movement and release of vehicles for sale
Our ideal candidate
The job holder must hold a full, valid, UK driving licence
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in delivering a high standard of customer service in a customer-facing environment
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Outlook and Excel
Good attention to detail, organisational skills and administrative skills
The ability to work under pressure and time restraints
Benefits
Basic salary of £24,500 to £28,000 depending upon experience.
24 Days holiday plus 1 day birthday holiday plus 8 statutory days.
