JOB OVERVIEW
Study Group collaborates with the University of Leeds and Leeds Beckett University to offer a range of programs at the Leeds International Study Centre. As a member of the Progression team within the broader Student Support Team, you will play a vital role in assisting students in their academic journey. In this capacity, you will work alongside the existing Progression and Student Success Coaches.
To excel in this role, you should possess exceptional organizational skills, be proficient in information and communication technology (ICT), and have a solid background in student support. It is preferable if you have experience working with international students, as this will be particularly valuable in helping our students achieve their academic goals.
ABOUT THE ROLE
* Acting as a PASS Coach/Personal Tutor delivering weekly Progression and Student Success (PASS) tutorials to your tutor groups
* To design and create learning materials around study skills, welfare topics and employability for Progression and Student Success tutorials.
* To provide 1:1 personal development, academic and progression counselling to students.
* To monitor the academic engagement and attendance of students.
* To monitor, track and provide reports on student destination offers and assist students in finding alternative choices where they do not meet their progression requirements.

To provide low level 1:1 pastoral support to students, referring them to the Welfare and Learning Support team where appropriate.

Assist in monitoring any Agreed Support Plans for students
* To assist in organising and delivering student induction, including ensuring UKVI compliance requirements are met through document checks and data inputting.
* To deal with general student queries face to face, by email and phone
* Any other duties as required by Student Support Coordinator (Progression), the Head of Student Support or the wider Senior Leadership Team
* To adhere to all compliance requirements in relation to GDPR, UKVI requirements, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.

* To foster productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
ABOUT YOU
* Experience in providing welfare or pastoral support to students.
* Experience of working with students for whom English is a second language is desirable.
