Job summary
Logistics CoordinatorTaskmaster Recruitment are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to work for our client based at their office in Deeping St James.
Responsibilities include:
* Plan shipments based on product availability and customer requests.
* Route plan and schedule ad hoc deliveries on our own vehicle service.
* Handles distribution to ensure that goods are delivered on time.
* Booking in deliveries with customers to ensure optimal delivery arrangements.
* Monitor carrier systems to ensure customers orders are on track for delivery.
* Maintain and update spreadsheets for customer/company reports.
* Work with recruitment companies to hire drivers as and when required.
* Prepare delivery and dispatch paperwork as required.
* Respond quickly and effectively to customer enquiries through multiple shared inboxes.
* Handle incoming calls from internal and external customers.
Key Skills/Attributes:
* Logistics/transport background would be advantageous, but not essential.
* Excellent computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Good Geographical knowledge of the UK.
* Confident and professional listening, verbal and written communication skills.
* Excellent organisation skills, handling multiple tasks with a sense of pace and urgency.
* Must be able to work effectively in a team environment, remaining calm under pressure.
* Effective time management and problem-solving skills.
Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00am to 4.30pm
Pay rate: £25,000PA
