They bring a wealth of experience and Systems Engineering approach to their work, emphasizing a methodical and structured process to address complex challenges in the maritime industry. They are seeking a talented Control Systems Engineer to be a key player in designing and implementing cutting-edge systems infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the design and implementation of resilient control systems architecture tailored to the specific requirements of our marine engineering projects.
* Assess and propose innovative hardware and software solutions for enhanced system performance in the maritime domain.
* Institute security-focused design principles to protect critical maritime systems and data.
* Guarantee compliance with industry regulations and internal security policies pertinent to marine engineering.
* Foster seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams, including marine engineers and Naval Architects.
* Stay abreast of emerging technologies, ensuring our systems remain scalable and secure in the dynamic landscape of marine engineering.
Skills & Experience:
* Proven expertise in applying Control System Engineering and System Engineering processes, showcasing a deep understanding of Systems Lifecycle.
* Knowledge in networking protocols, configuration, and effective troubleshooting.
* Demonstrated track record in designing and implementing robust and scalable systems architecture.
* In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
* Ability to work with diverse technologies, integrating and verifying them logically into a system to fully meet customer requirements.
* Hands-on experience in autonomous vehicle control or a comparable field.
* Familiarity with methods such as hardware-in-the-loop testing, simulation of embedded systems, SCADA, and PLC programming.
* Capability to actively participate in trials, troubleshoot, and swiftly resolve emerging issues.
* Thorough documentation skills for recording system configuration, processes, and procedures.
* Experience providing development of junior engineers.
* Technical Degree/equivalent qualification or experience
