Hexagon Recruitment are pleased to be recruiting for our client for a permanent skilled and detail-oriented CCTV Data Installation Engineer to join our clients dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for, installing, and maintaining closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems for our clients customers. The CCTV Data Installation Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and integrity of our clients' premises by implementing cutting-edge surveillance solutions.Responsibilities:
Systems and Planning:
Collaborate with clients to understand their security needs and requirements and plan CCTV systems based on client specifications and site assessments.
Evaluate and recommend appropriate hardware components for CCTV installations and cabling.
Installation and Configuration:
Execute the installation of CCTV cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and associated equipment.
Configure and optimize CCTV systems to meet client expectations and industry standards, setting up user user privileges.
Ensure proper integration with other security and data systems.
Cabling and Wiring:
Proficiently handle the installation of cabling and wiring for CCTV systems.
Ensure neat and organized cable management to maintain system reliability along with BNC Termination, RJ45 Feed-Thru Termination, Drop Pole & Camera Installation & Pattress Installation.
Testing and Troubleshooting:
Conduct thorough testing of installed CCTV systems to identify and rectify any issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems promptly to minimize downtime.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of installation processes and configurations.
Provide comprehensive reports to clients on completed installations.
Client Training:
Train clients on the proper use and maintenance of CCTV systems.
Offer ongoing support and assistance to address client inquiries and concerns.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Adhere to relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Ensure the quality and reliability of CCTV installations meet or exceed company standards.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a CCTV Data Installation Engineer or similar role.
Proficient in the installation and configuration of CCTV cameras, DVRs, NVRs, and associated equipment.
Strong knowledge of networking principles and protocols.
Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to surveillance systems.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
Must be available to travel UK wide and stay away some nights.
Hold a full valid UK Driving license
Education and Certifications:
Qualified in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
Certification in CCTV installation or related field is a plus.
