Remit:
* Aligned to the Quality department you will be responsible for implementing robust quality controls to meet the requirements of AS9100 rev D/9001:2015, relevant specification and customer specific requirements.
* The successful candidate will have experience working within AS9100rev D & ISO9001:2015 certified organisations, along with being self-motivated and a good team player with excellent communication skills.
Role:
* Responsible for implementing robust quality controls to meet the requirements of AS9100 rev D /ISO9001:2015
* Control of quality documentation, responsible for updating and revision control for procedures, supporting documents etc.
* Identifying and diagnosing workmanship problems in Production processes using 5 whys or similar method and leading Root Cause Investigations.
* Deal with day-to-day quality issues and problem solving.
* Interface with suppliers and customers as required.
* Completion of supplier quality audits (when required)
* Completion of internal audits
* Hands on support with inspection / laboratory when required
* Support creation of work instructions and for consistent inspection techniques
* Mentoring and sharing of best practice for employees in AS9100 Rev D requirements.
* Support / Lead onsite calibration & continual improvement activities
Experience:
* Experienced Quality Engineering background
* Experienced working within AS9100rev D, / ISO9001:2015 quality certified organisation
* Knowledge of AS9102 FAIR requirements
* Ability to read and interrogate engineering drawings including geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
* Experienced in completion of internal audits
* Experienced in use of conventional inspection equipment.
* Experienced in 8D activities/good problem solving skills
* Knowledge of use of CMM inspection equipment/measuring arms/other inspection technologies would be desirable
* Self-motivated, excellent communication skills & a good team player
