Job summary
NHS Shared Business Services is currently seeking experienced Collections Advisors to recover public funding on behalf of dozens of NHS organisations. All whilst providing outstanding customer service via our dedicated phone lines and email inbox. The role is based on a hybrid working model, training will be full time in the newly refurbished Leeds office for up to 6 weeks, followed by one day per week after you have settled in. Our modern office environment is close to the White Rose Shopping Centre and offers many benefits including free onsite parking, excellent public transport links and high-tech coffee machines. Other perks include free tea, coffee, and breakfast items (cereals, fruit). The office has an onsite canteen with daily home cooked meals which are subsided by 35%, as well as an outdoor gym and pre organised yoga classes. What you'll be doing:
* Connecting with customers via telephone lines and central collections' mailbox to recover unpaid invoices for various goods and services
* Make sure all customer accounts are thoroughly reviewed to understand the full background of each individual case and updated after each interaction, including notes and status changes
* Resolving queries about invoices and setting up plans for debt repayment
* Assessing each customers circumstances to resolve disputes and queries over the phone, resulting in a successful outcome for both parties
* Working towards achieving daily and monthly targets both individually and as a team.
* Identifying and dealing with vulnerable customers

* Experience within the finance sector
* Confidence in having challenging conversations, adhering to our One Call Resolution aim
* Ability to problem-solve a wide range of complex situations
* The ability to multitask and perform to achieve targets

* Good organisation skills, enabling you to work under your own initiative and collectively as a teammate
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, allowing you to connect clearly with our customers
