New Business Development ExecutiveMy client is a recognised and highly regarded B2B Trade Distributor, and they are looking for a New Business Development Executive to join the team.
This is an opportunity to work in a fun industry with a great crowd of people.
Basic Salary: £27.5k plus bonus
Location: Office based, Leighton Buzzard
Hours: Mon-Fri 8.30am to 5.00pm (30 min lunch)
Job Summary, New Business Development Executive
You are an integral part of the internal sales and marketing function, and your main goal is to grow business from new and existing clients over the phone and by email
To succeed in this role, you must be self-motivated, look forward to calling warm and cold sales leads and have good people skills.
You will be part of a friendly sales team, and team bonus incentive but will also have your own commission-based incentive aimed to drive individual results.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Identify business growth opportunities with new and existing customers
* New customers (Organically added)
* Lapsed customers
* Strategic customers
* Onboard high-potential new customers via telephone and email
* Re-engage lapsed customers via telephone and email
* Re-engage and grow business from target key accounts via telephone and email
* Seek up-to-date contact details from suspected old contacts
* Seek marketing email opt-ins for customers/companies not already subscribed
* Meet with customers face to face at office, exhibitions, and events as required
* Follow up exhibition / event sales opportunities via telephone and email
* Identify and follow up sales opportunities from daily SNIP sales report
* Contact warm sales leads in conjunction with marketing / sales promotions
Experience / Education Required
* A good basic level of education (i.e., schooling / further education)
* Proven history with proactive business development
* Tele-sales training / cold calling training also ideal but not essential
Skills / Knowledge
* Good communication skills both orally & written (emails etc.)
* Great people skills
* Computer skills:
* Competent in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
* CRM System (Microsoft 365 Business Central / NAV Dynamics useful but not essential)
* Self-disciplined, organised
* Self-motivated with desire and ability to achieve own and agreed goals
* Good interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships
* Ability to multi-task
* Ability and trustworthiness to work alone with minimal supervision
* Great attention to detail
