Job summary
A new role has arisen for a Head of Sales for this leading provider of event and exhibition services based in central Warwickshire.The Head of Sales will devise and execute the overall sales and marketing strategy in order to grow the sales and profit in line with the companys growth targets.
The ideal candidate will possess a can do and positive attitude, foster and build positive relationships and be focussed in building a strong culture within the company and Sales and Marketing department.
The successful Head of Sales will have the following:-
* Experience of leading a small sales team, with a desire to join an organisation where you can play a pivotal role in the future of the company.
* Previous experience of the events and exhibition sector and possess a good network of individuals within the industry and or handled a portfolio of brands buying from the events sector.
* The successful individual will have likely spent a period of their career working within a full-service agency, in doing so gaining a knowledge of the requirements of major brands.
Key responsibilities of the Head of Sales will include:-
* To take the lead in developing the sales and marketing strategy for the business, identifying growth opportunities both from existing customers and new businesses.
* Be the champion for the HubSpot CRM system.
* Lead the sales and marketing team to identify the top 50 target customers (multi-channel, multi-event) and devise and implement (through the team and external agencies) new multichannel sales/marketing strategies to generate the number and value of sales opportunities required.
* Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of the sales and marketing activity all the way through the sales funnel from identifying prospects and generating leads through to final sales, ensuring KPIs set up to measure interest and interaction.
* Analyse and utilise data to drive marketing decisions and devise strategies, both online and offline.
* Keeping abreast of new market trends, competitor activity and new exhibitions and attending events for market research.
* Track record of Sales and Marketing strategy development and turning strategy into activity plans that deliver tangible results.
* Work with the marketing team to plan and execute a contact strategy to attract and engage prospective clients (Account-based marketing approach) and specifically to utilise LinkedIn to identify prospects, secure connections and open doors to face-to-face meetings.
* Negotiate with prospective new clients and close deals to bring in new, profitable business.
Key skills and experience of the Head of Sales:-
* Previous success in aligning sales and marketing strategies and activities.
* Commercial and data-driven to ensure both sales and marketing activities and customer segments are effectively evaluated and prioritised.
* Strong managerial experience and possess the skills to pull teams together between Sales and Marketing functions.
* Sales management knowledge and experience
* Experienced in pulling together material for sales presentations/pitches and support in responding to requests for info and quotes.
* Good understanding and experience in use of broad range of marketing techniques, particularly lead generation and digital marketing.
* Use market insight to generate new opportunities.
* Keeping abreast of new market trends, competitor activity and new exhibitions and attending events for market research and making connections.
* Monitor and ensure sales leads are actioned and opportunities maximised.
* Work closely with the Project/Account managers and other members of the sales team to develop new opportunities/cross-sell to existing customers.
* A strong relationship builder both with clients and internal teams.
