Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. 37 Hours Per Week.
Pay Rate: £13.67 per hour (PAYE)
Location: ME10 3HT
Position Overview:
To administer the billing, collection, and enforcement of Local and National Taxation and to carry out tasks relating to the administration of Council Tax.
Responsibilities:
To maintain an up-to-date record of taxpayer accounts to ensure the prompt issue of accounts and arrears documentation thus maximizing cash flow.
As a customer-focused role to be able to communicate with customers directly either by telephone, correspondence, or interview to give advice on matters of liability or to ascertain information to ensure accurate records and to promote customer care.
To work with the Mid Kent Compliance team to undertake regular surveys of exemptions and discounts granted to prevent fraud and avoid monetary loss.Qualifications:
Previous experience in tax administration or related roles is preferred.
Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using tax software and MS Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Knowledge of tax legislation and tax regulations is a plus.
