Job Summary:
Assist in the underwriting process for bridging finance applications, learning and contributing to risk assessment, documentation review, and communication with stakeholders. This role provides hands-on experience in financial analysis and decision-making under the guidance of seasoned underwriters.
Key Responsibilities:
* Review and analyse loan applications for eligibility and adherence to guidelines.
* Collaborate with senior underwriters to assess borrower financials and collateral.
* Assist in evaluating creditworthiness, identifying risks, and proposing mitigation strategies.
* Examine and verify documentation accuracy and completeness.
* Work with the documentation team to gather necessary information.
* Interact with brokers, clients, and stakeholders for information clarification.
* Contribute to effective communication of underwriting decisions.
* Utilize financial models and analysis tools to assess relevant information.
* Participate in training programs to enhance understanding of bridging finance and underwriting.
* Work collaboratively with departments to ensure smooth underwriting processes.
* Learn and adhere to regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Experience within a lender or broker background acting as an underwriter or case manager.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
