Are you passionate about ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance and quality in the distribution of food products? We have an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to join our client, a leading supplier of ambient, fresh, frozen and raw ingredient products, as an Entry Level/Junior HSE and Compliance Coordinator. As a key member of the team, you'll play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the depot and contributing to the company's commitment to excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
*Compliance Management:
Implement and uphold Quality, Environmental, and Health & Safety Policies.
Conduct internal audits to maintain standards of Food Safety, Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, and Quality.
Serve as the point of contact for compliance visits to the site.
*Continuous Improvement:
Foster a philosophy of continuous improvement within all departments.
Collaborate with various departments to develop and deliver a learning framework supporting the Quality Management System (QMS).
*Accreditation Maintenance:
Maintain site QMS standards for BRCGS accreditation, with support from the Group HSE & Compliance Manager.
*Health and Safety Leadership:
Act as the lead competent person for health and safety.
Ensure a safe workplace environment across all sites without risk to health.
Additional Responsibilities:
*Assist with the implementation of new Quality Standards.
*Support Third Party Audits and site Quality-related meetings.
*Complete customer-issued Quality Questionnaires.
*Ensure compliance with relevant environmental legislation.
*Manage Pest Control and hygiene on-site for Quality purposes.
*Oversee instrument calibration (temperature measuring equipment).
*Monitor customer service complaints.
*Coordinate and support QHSE meetings, ensuring actions are effectively closed out.
*Prepare QHSE documentation and statistical reports.
*Conduct safety inspections, audits, and checks.
*Hold monthly depot meetings to report on relevant quality and health & safety matters.
*Liaise with suppliers, including insurers and solicitors.
*Ensure company QHSE systems and procedures are adhered to by all stakeholders.
*Foster a positive culture and uphold standards within the organisation.
Requirements:
*IOSH Qualification in Health and Safety
*Trained internal Auditor
*Proficient in Microsoft programmes
