Greetings from Service Care Solutions! We are thrilled to partner with Thames Valley Police in the search for a dedicated individual to join their dynamic team as an Internal Communications and Employee Engagement Coordinator.

Overall Purpose of the Role: The primary purpose of this role is to co-ordinate, deliver, and enable employee engagement and communications across Thames Valley Police, aligning with the force's vision, priorities, and delivery plan. The role involves supervising a team of communications specialists, planning and delivering communications strategies, evaluating internal channels, and providing expertise on internal communication platforms.

Key Accountability Areas:

Supervise a team of communications specialists to ensure timely and effective delivery of employee engagement and communications, aligned with force priorities.
Act as the first point of escalation for the Employee Engagement team, addressing issues and intervening when necessary.
Lead planning and delivery of communications strategies for sensitive or complex programs or projects, collaborating with other forces' communication teams when needed.
Support forward planning of employee engagement and communications activity to mitigate risks and exploit opportunities.
Develop and apply evaluation techniques to assess the effectiveness of internal channels and team activities continuously.
Provide leadership and guidance on the use of internal communication platforms, including the intranet and M365 products.
Horizon scan and contribute to planning engaging internal communications content, capitalising on opportunities and mitigating risks.
Act as a subject matter expert, championing employee engagement across the Department and wider force, seeking and sharing best practices.
Deputise for the Employee Engagement Manager as required.
Dimensions: The role is crucial for coordinating, delivering, and evaluating employee engagement and communications aligned with the force's vision and priorities. It involves providing support and advice across all levels of the organisation, reporting directly to the Employee Engagement Manager. The role may require working unsociable hours, including weekends, depending on operational and organisational needs.
Characteristics of the Role: Expertise:

Educated to degree level, and/or a professional qualification in communications or equivalent experience.
Excellent interpersonal skills, a good team player, and sound problem-solving ability.
Experience advising people at all levels within an organisation on communications planning and delivery.
Excellent writing skills for various mediums and ability to proofread.
Proven experience in developing and delivering effective employee engagement and communications strategies.
Understanding of communications evaluation approaches and analysis skills.
Good understanding of the use of digital channels for internal communication.
Experience working in a large public or private sector organisation.
Experience in developing and supervising teams.Rate of Pay: £21.88 per hour
